Tribus Leucaspidini

Diagnostic characters of adult female Leucaspidini are: all species pupillarial; body more or less elongate; pygidium with marginal lobes present, median lobes well separated, all lobes uni-lobulate; plates non-glanduliferous, present or absent, slender and filiform (gland spines absent); dorsal ducts, if present, quite small, two-barred, short and broad with sclerotized orifices parallel to margin, usually confined to pygidium, those near the pygidial margin not very much larger than the others; prepygidium never with plates, if duct tubercles present then they are confined to the posterior segments of the prepygidium; abdominal disc pores present, perivulvar in distribution, often also present on prepygidial segments; stigmatic disc pores present by anterior spiracles only; antennae each with 2-6 setae; intersegmental folds and crenulae absent.
